Hey guys,
I have a B15 SE, w/ the sr20de. I know my computer unlike the older sr20s is encrypted. I have already researched the whole thing, it's just I wanted to know if any of you knew if it would be better for me to just hack the wiring harness and solder in the plug and ECU from a 95-97 SE-R, or would it be better to swap out the whole wiring harness from a 95-97 se-r? Also, how much power is a modified GTI-R manifold capable of holding, or up to what horsepower level is it reliable to? thanks all,
JCC

do you think JWT will ever get around to cracking the B15 ECU? or should I just go ahead with my plans and buy a 95-97 ECU?

The pulsar GTI-R manifold will hold at least 500 whp reliably. I don't know why you say reliably. I think the key word is, how much power it will flow before it becomes a restriction.

Chris Allen AKA Shaggy, busted out 497 whp on a GTiR manifold with a ginormous turbo on it. see SCC's 400HP club.
Mike Kojima has gotten 280 whp out of the "Disco Potato" with a T28 and GTiR manifold. i think this was done on pump gas too.

I know that I've read in print that the T28 is good for about 280 whp, but has anyone gotten 300 whp out of it? If so, how reliable did the car run (turbo and all) and how effecient - rephrased, is it a good idea?

that turbo is better than a t28. it is a special unit that is not for sale yet. the t28 is hurting at 300whp for anything more than a drag pass.

I guess I'll get a custom GTI-R with T3 flange then, I'll run a T3/T4 like most others then, I wouldnt mind getting a all bearing T4 but I dont wanna spend the cash for a ball-bnearing unit. I guess I really need to start talking to Andreas Miko.

The thing is I really wanted the Protech Eng. Manifold with a T3 flange. But if I can save $400 to run a GTI-R manifold that will still allow me to meet my goals, then I will save the money, I can then take the $400 from there and maybe save up for a GT3037,

anyone know what needs to be done to change out my rods for GTI-R ones? or do I have to get the bottom end out and then look what bearings I will need? or would the stock bearings be fine with the GTI-R rods? keep in mind this is a 2001 engine,

And I would like to see the answer to the first part of his question! I plan on boosting my b15 next year and need to find the easiest way to change out the ECU.
