Ok after washing it and putting one layer of wax theres some improvement to the purple beater, but WHOEVER HAD THIS CAR BEFORE ME HAS NOT TAKEN CARE OF IT AT ALL!!! IT FEELS LIKE THERES PITS ALL OVER MY CAR AND I DO NOT SEE ANY SHINE AT ALL!!! THIS TOTALLY SUX MAJOR NUTS!!! ALSO IT LOOKS LIKE THERES NO CLEARCOAT IN SOME SPOTS!!!! I"M GOING TO STANGLE THE ASSHOLE THAT COULDN"T EVEN CHANGE THE OIL AND KEEP ALL THE SCREWS IN THE CAR AND KEEP ITS LIGHTS AND CLIPS AND PANALS ON THE CAR!!! AND NEVER TRUST A DIPSTICK CAUSE IT LIED TO ME B/C IT LOOKED LIKE CLEAN OIL, BUT WHEN MY MOTOR BLEW I TOOK OFF THE VALVE COVER AND IT WAS SLUDGED UP!!! DAMN THAT ASSHOLE TO SE-R HELL!!! Had to vent some. Tomorrow under some good light I'm going to inspect this car's paint. I'm goin to try to put a coat of polish and a coat of wax over it. I'm using the same stuff that I used on my 97 SE-R and it turned out really nice.

Meighar (s/p) is what I used for this. the soap, wax, and polish. Thats right you wash it. Then you wax it with one coat. Then you polish it, and then you put a second coat of wax over that to trap in the polish :) Then your car is shiny. I just hope theres some hope for my car still.

correct me if I am wrong, but aren't you supposed to polish it first then wax it? polishing is what makes it shiny. wax just protects it.

you should try paint cleaner or the clay bar first. ;)

Yea, clay bars work wonders. Especially after a winter of salty and sandy roads.

i gave up on my paint.... its shit. there are chips on every panel that get bigger as time goes on
after i wash it, it feels sandy when i pass my hand on it
ill have to spend a day washing and using a clay bar, and then waxing it

 i need a good job this summer, if i can get one i might be able to get a paint job next spring. and i was already thinking that if i do get one, ill get the 2002 rsx black. my friend's black rsx has little purple and green sparkles in it when u look at it close. not bad for stock paint i think

There is a little hope. The grayness will never go away for me though. I don't think Marc ever waxed it, so I did a 4 or 5 step wax on it. ;) It was all mothers stuff and it looked great for a few days after. Then the wax wears off. My advice...go get a paint job. I would too if I had any money.

Clay magic clay bar.

Meguairs swirl mark remover

Meguiars show car polish

Meguairs # 26 yellow wax.

Do this once a year.

In between wash with Meguairs gold class car wash, wax with Zymol one coat cleaner wax.

Didn;t wax the car for the first two years of it's life. Been doing this ever since and it looks great!

There is hope, you CAN get a lot of that stuff out with a good detailing job.

Do yourself a favor and buy some microfibre towels as well, takes wax off in half the time!

Zymol and microfibre...yuck. Zymol made my car look like shit. And I can't even touch those microfibres without cringing.
But yes I can say...Wes' paint looks great in person. :p i'm jealous...did I beat your time yet? lol

I love Zymol. It work really good on cars that have a shade of red. My car looks like the paint is wet after using Zymol. The only thing that sucks is that it does not last very long!! :(
