Hey guyz, just wanted to let you know that I just received my shipment of GC/AGX suspension parts, and I can't wait to strap 'em in!!!!

Funny thing about today though, I called GC and asked them if they could check up if my order has been shipped (ordered on Mar 14, shipped out from Cali Mar 20). They told me that the delivery date is today (according to tracking #s). I step out of the house for about an hour, get home and my father tells me UPS was here to drop this off for you, I think sweet!!! Open it up, check it out, everything is good. I start thinking that it's good I got my struts, but I ordered my ME rear strut mount just last week and I'll have to wait until next week to probably to get it. I sit down and, there goes the doorbell, my ME rear strut mounts arrive from FedEx (ordered mar 26, shipped out mar 27), sweet!!! Check it out, looks good.

So now I can pop 'em in and start carving some roads and tracks!!!!! I'm hoping (weather permitted) to install them this saturday, I just have to go over to crappy tire and borrow their spring compressor.

On a side note, I just want to say that both companies (GC and ME) are very good to deal with. Workmanship, excellent. Customer service, excellent. Shipping and tracking, excellent. And if their products perform as good as everyone says they are, satisfaction will be excellent too.:D

Good stuff.

Just in time for good weather! You know how to cut the bumpstops?

I think I have to cut about an inch, or one segment off according to Kojima, right? TIA

That's right. I think it's best if you cut the middle one out - it's ok, because when your suspension is on the car, it's compressed. You'll see what I mean when you take it apart.

Well, my baby is freshly slammed to the ground now!!!! I have to say, I love it!!!!! She handles like shes on rails now with nearly 0 body roll. I have to adjust it again later on in the week once everything settles in. It took a while to finish up the front suspension (and the cold weather didnt help out this weekend) but the back was quick. I would say it took about 4-5hrs for the front, and about 40-60mins for the back (including adjusting time). Not too bad I guess. I'll post some pics of her very soon.

Did I mention how much I love the new suspension???!!!!:D

I had the suspension assembled from GC. No need for the duct tape trick :)

How did youet it assembled from GC? did you buy everything as a package from them? or did you ship them your AGX's?

haha, I was hoping madburner was actually back.

Cool guy, I wonder what he's up to now

P.S. they ship you the coilover kit, you assemble them yourself. I notice you're from Ottawa, I go back to Carleton in 2 weeks, I could probably give you a hand if you need it.

Hey guys,

long time no talk. Yeah I haven't been around in the forum for a long time. I've just been busy with everything going on. Bought a house with the wifey, new job, and got a dog to start with, maybe kids soon, we'll see. I've been looking at getting a new car, specifically an SRT-4. Just need to make more money to afford everything.

I still have the 200SX. She's still running strong and making damn good gas mileage for a 15 year old engine design. It has 186K KM on it as well as some dings and stuff from those lovely people in parking lots who don't care.

Sorry to get off topic, yeah the set came pre assembled from GC. The lower coilover mount was attached to the struts, so it was pretty easy to pop in if you have ever had experience with working on suspensions. I would reccomend new rear strut mounts from another company in Cali (I don't remember the name right now M-something) which give you about 1" more travel in the back. It still fully compresses if bumped really hard but nothing that throws the car out of control. Our cars have very poor rear travel.

As for the coilovers for us here in Ontario, I'll give you some tips so you don't make the same mistakes I did if using in the winter. Do not over tighten the height adjustment bolt, otherwise you need to drill it out, not fun!!!

As for the actual coilover, its very good, nice and firm, but I think a little overpriced for regular street driving as I use it for. Guess I notice these things now that I have a house to worry about!!!
