I dont know if this is the right place so if i am in the wrong please move it mods.

the question is has anyone taken the time to take a stock valve cover and Machine it to match the stillen boxed valve covers? I was planning to try this next week and was wondering if anyone has yet. tia.

but i think if u have a good machine shop why not do something different but thats just my ho.

Worth a shot and its something different with just time invested. I figure it cant hurt and i have a spare begging to be a test pig.

I have ground off the "Twin Cam 16 Valve" part on more than one VC. Mine Just says Nissan. I have made blank ones too, but its not hard with a sanding wheel and a drill.

I bet the guy in Pensacola could machine anything you want, they seem to have all the lathes and everything, and he is a forum vendor.

I have all the shop goodies to do this, just need to know dimension specs and that kinda stuff. I think ill start next week and see what i can get done. I will post some pics too of the progress.

do that, would love to see a custom milled vc.

someone please post a pic. from what i remember seeing, you would almost need to have a casting made up with enough extra material on it to get the shape desired.

that's what I think, If I remember correctly it's got fins and raised letters, that's not something you can machine into a thin VC

I dont know why you guys would really want a to copy the Stillen one, seems kinda lame if its not real. I would just go with my own design.
