How much boost can an SR20DE safely hold on stock ecu, injectors, and fuel pump? I am buying a used 89' Izusu Impulse for a couple hundred bucks and want to salvage the turbo, wastegate, blow-off, and small intercooler from it and have custom piping done to fit them to my car. The turbo is almost brand new and it is an IHIRHB51, it is very similar to a T25. Once I get more money I will have the ecu programmed, get a better intercooler, buy 370cc injectors and upgrade the fuel system but for now what is a safe boost level?

Its very dangerous to boost on stock computer and injectors. Just hold out, and save the money needed to do it right. You should be able to get the injectors for 200-300 bucks, and the ECU for around 550. Just work a little extra, and save! You don't want to destroy your engine.

2-3 psi, tops. buy some 370's and a BB or JWT computer.

also, if it is not a garrett T25 exhaust flange, it is not worth going with, as it will require a custom manifold (more money than its worth on a budget setup). buy a BB T25, it is perfectly matched to the engine, and bolts right up to a nice cheap, stock BB manifold.
