It is 3 in the morning and I forgot to post this yesturday so forgive me if I mumble, I am on my way to work...
While working on the Maxima, I started the NX up. When I went inside to drive it to the store, I noticed the needle pegged and the autometer guage above 250. I looked at the overflow and it was full. The fans did not kick in. It kicked in when the A/C was turned on. Strange. So I checked every connection and fuse, all oK. Shut the car down, then started it again. Now the fans kick in at 212. What would cause it to not come on? CTS?

The thermostat fan switch sensor probably needs to be replaced or the connection could be bad. The same thing happened to me with my NX and it turned out to be the fan switch sensor needed to be replaced.

I just went through this today, so I hooked the consult at work up. The ECU controls the fan, and depending on the vehicles speed, will turn the fans on at varying temps. If the car is still, and your AC is not on, the fan will not come on until 210-212. I think my gauge is broken, car shows super hot on the gauge, but the consult reads normal. I replaced the temp sensor, same effect. I'll pull the cluster from my other car and see if that works or not. Just my .02
