: Mandrel or not to Mandrel???

Would 3inch exhaust make a difference if it's mandrel bent or reduced/crushed bent? It would be going on a t25. Would 2.5in. mandrel be better then 3in. crush bent or equal? What do you turbo guys use? How much horsepower would I be losing/gaining? I ask only because no one in the chicagoland area can mandrel bend 3inch. If you can get 3inch mandrel exhaust, then let me know.

Whatever you do... do not do crush bent with a turbo system... If you want a 3 inch mandrel bent system... contact Andreas Miko from this forum... he has a kick ass 3 inch system for 600 bucks to your door...

By the way... I grew up in Chicago and am a student at Arizona State University... I am bringing my turbo car home this summer back to Chicago (Elgin) what part of Chicago are you in?? I'd be willing to meet up sometime and cruise to Streets of Woodfield if you're up for it...

Hell yeah I'd be down for it. Me and my buddy cruise up there with his GS-T and mess with all the ricers. I'm on the northwest side of Chicago.

buy the mandrel bends, do it once, do it right. a penny saved today is a penny spent tomorrow.

While I live in WI. I roll down that way quite often, lots of Nissan guys that way! Anyway APG performance in Wood Dale (IIRC) used to have a mandrel bender, look them up and see if they still do. If not tlak with Andreas or Stromung exhaust engineering for a 3" system!
