Has anyone purchased the chrome projectors from RS Version and converted them to the black projectors using paint thinner, I have been doing some research and since Nis-Knacks no longer sells them I called RS Version since they have the cheapest price and inquired as to who produced the projectors that they sell they told me a company called Eagle Eye manufactures the lights for the 200sx / Sentra.
So I am really not sure if these lights are of the same quality that Nis-Knacks produced, if anyone has converted them please let me know, or if I should just shell out 259.95 and go through import parts plus Nis-Knacks lights.

They all look the same to me. I would not be surprised if they are all made by the same company and sold under different names. I bought mine one ebay from ProCarParts.com and they look just the same as all the others. I then pulled off the cover lens and painted them black. I haven't installed them yet so I don't know how bright they are. I know most people have said they are not as bright as stock B14 lights. I am toying with the idea of selling the ones I have painted, but if I keep them I will put PIAA bulbs in them to make them brighter.

If you're going to sell them I'll take them off your hands. Just let me know how much you want and send me a pic so I can see what kind of a job you did on these puppies.

I would only sell them with the Nis-Knacks stealth clear corners as a set unless someone else wants the corners(brand new, never installed). I'll take some digital pics and send them to you. Then we'll see. I'm still not sure I want to sell them. If the price was right I guess I would.

Of course you want to make sure that the PIAA lights you buy do not exceed the recommended wattage (55W IIRC) I have heard of people melting their housing by changing the bulbs and going over wattage.

you could put HID's on them right?
HID's work at less heat and draw less current
projectors with hid's would look sick :D

To my knowledge all the projectors were made by the same place. The difference was that Nis-Knacks had a different/better wiring harness that included an adapter that kept you from hard wiring into the head light harness.

FWIW Yosuke from the sentra.net BB converted his projectors to HID even modified the shape of them, they look sick!

Well I'd take the corners off you. I need a set bad. My chrome corners look outta place.

No duh............. of course you can get them from Nis-Knacks for $50. So why don't you. And since you havn't figured it out yet, the whole reason I'm selling the corners is because I bought sr20detutah's projectors and corners, and I now have an extra set. So as far as black projectors go... well I got some good luck! :p
