There's just a ton of discussion in here about the different bars - the design edge for the Progress bars seems to be the Heim joints that link the bar to the suspension - apparently this little innovation keeps the bars from binding, so the springs do the work of controlling compression and rebound like they're supposed to, and the bar keeps the car from rolling. Like it's supposed to. When you do it, also find yourself some teflon sheeting (not tape, .010 or .020 sheet) to line between the bar and the body mount bushings. Coolblackser showed me that one; it makes an ENORMOUS difference in ride quality for a stiff car (I also run Hypercos and agx 2f/4r). Rob (Toolapcfan) is a great guy who sells the Progress stuff on the forum, you just missed a group buy but his prices are competitive and it's a good thing to support those who support the forum (i.e., like Rob). And, you KNOW you're going to get treated right. PS, they are technically adjustable (three points for 'soft', 'medium', 'hard' - but the heim joint really needs to be vertical, so imnho you'd be better off to set them soft in front and medium in back for a B13. While I'm at it, Progress makes an LCA brace that's next on my list. From Rob.

You can buy the Progress bars any number of places, but Toolapcfan is a member here, you will not pay more and may pay less through him. Many of us here encourage doing business with forum supporters; they're good honest folks to work with AND they help keep this great site here.

:iagree: completely with the statement above. Keep in the "house".

:iagree: With those two guys.

Except for the part about the Progress bars three "stiffness" settings. But that is only because his statement went a little over my mechanically challenged brain. Damn vertical hiem link techno-babble.

I think the progress bars are of better quality that the ST's. As far as suspension goes, here are my opinions putting ride quality before cost of setup:

- Yellow Koni's w/G.C. perches & 8" eibach or hyperco springs and G.C. camber plates.(nothing will ride better than these for the money)
-Tein S.S. - pillow ball mounts will have to be purchased seperately.
-Progress Coilovers - these don't come w/ pillow ball mounts
-Ksports Coilovers - full coilovers with full adjustability and the cheapest of all without much compromise.

I hope this helps.

If you're serious about fine tuning, the Progress bars are the answer. By fine tuning, I'm talking about corner weighting the car and adjusting the bars to prevent bind. They also allow you to adjust the rotation of the car with 9 different settings between the front and rear bars. The ST bars simple don't allow any of that. You get what you pay for.
