i was wondering what the best turbo for 450whp would be so far i am looking at the gt30r and the sc61 the only down fall i can see to the sc61 is it is not ball berring and it should spool a little slower (right:confused: ) what other turbos would everyone recomend to get to the 450whp mark thanks Eric
i have been thinking of buying the gt35r that mulman has just wondering if it is to large if there is such a thing i here they do not spool much slower then the gt30r only a few hundred rpms later but will it have any problems on a standard protec log or woo a love fab be a better choice thanks Eric

the gt30/40r is a nice turbo and with the right spec will give around 530bhp@flywheel and has decent tourqe aswell
olso pretty good spool up

i'de go with the full race t3/t67ho. with some cams you should be able to get 450whp out of it on pump gas.

Youll be surpised on the spool time on a SC61. A SC61 is almost equal to a GT35R.
Granted GT35R is daul ballbearing and much knewer technology, they both happen to flow 61lbs per minute.
A equal lenght manifold would help with the lag time. 450WHP is more about how much you really wanna spend to get there.
Good luck.

sc61 is cheap, and everyone loves them :)
But alot of the more serious guys run gt35r.
I am curious myself too, which is better application for this motor. If you google sc61 vs gt35r you get a honda forum back to back dyno with just changing the turbo. he made more high rpm power at the same boost with only a couple hundred more rpm lag. So if the sc61 can do 630hp wtf do you need a bigger turbo for? I guess they are just more efficient higher up, but id trade 300 rpm for 30 horses when i already have 500.

Just run a GT3076R, you'll be good to go.
That or you can look into the SC50, it's more affordable.
No need for a monster turbo like the GT35R and SC61, thats lagtastic on a SR. In fact the car will be faster with a smaller turbo.

this is not true. An sc50 might be able to push out 400whp running over 25pounds of boost on race gas. an sc61 is not a laggy turbo at all on a 2.0 liter motor. I personally cant say how the gt35r is cause i have nevr owned one. I would recommend either the gt35r or something slightly bigger then the sc61 that way u shouldnt have a problem making 450whp on pump gas.

I think an SC61 is going to be your best option. Its affordable and it performs. Check some of the big power SR20s on this forum, SC61s are runnin it. I got one. Run 15 to 17psi and da basic supporting mods and you'll hit your mark...
Later u can turn up boost and shoot for 500+...
