Lately the car has been running real bad. Car has been stalling now and then when I push the clutch in when coming to a stop. RPM just drop to zero. Also seems to happen on certain slopes. Noticed that in certain locations, (sloped parking lots, etc.) the car is more prone to stall. Also has been bogging down really bad, with bucking and surges of power.
I changed the set of aftermarket plug wires to another set of OEM ones I had lying around and that seemed to fix it for about a month. ??? I also noticed a big buildup of corrosion on the rotor cap terminals that I scraped off.
Now it's real bad again though. The car threw code 0706 last night, which is "FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM MALFUNCTION." I'm wondering if that helps limit things here. Does the ECU get that code from the Oxygen sensor, due to a rich or lean mixture, or some other means? Any ideas here?
