I just finished my s13 red top swap and when it came time to fire it up the engine will just crank and not kick over. I was wondering if you guy know any common problems that i should check for. thanks

Crossed fuel lines is a common one! Check it first.

ahhh se-armed got to it first lol. most people's problem is the fuel lines as he said. i did it! after that just think. the motor needs three things to start: air fuel and spark. if you dont have air, something is horribly wrong! checking fuel and spark will tell you which one you dont have. after that it should be easy to diagnose. also make sure your vac lines are all secured, it will want to die as soon as you fire it up if those are leaking. good luck man.

PS: the fuel lines are: the one coming from the fuel filter goes to the fuel insert in the middle of fuel rail, the other line goes to the FPR.

I personally had the issue of getting no spark. Make sure all your wiring is correct if youve had to splice it as i did. I sat around and agonize for 2 weeks only to find the 1 stupid connector was wired wrong... frustrating. Good Luck!

Also check your ECU for being fried.

Friend of mine had the exact same symptom. The engine would just keep cranking and cranking and no starting.

He had spark and had fuel, but the ECU kept spitting out the code for the CAS circuit.

I opened up his ECU and looked at it and it was all kinds of bubbly fried goodness.

Stuck my known good ECU on it and boom, started up with 2 cranks.
