This is a question for all you Chicago people who know of or have had body and/or paintwork done to their cars. What are the best body adn paint shops around? I have heard that Dent Star in Elmhurst is a good place for dent removal (recommended by APG) and have already checked out BodyWerks in Skokie for a new paintjob. The guy who quoted me there hardly looked at my car (like a 10 second walk around) and quoted me about $2,000 to keep it red or an extra $100 to paint it a different color.

So, do you guys know of any other reputable places, and is $2000 about what I can expect to pay for a whole new paintjob?

Whoa..2G's for a stock paint job?!?!..Not too long ago Maaco had a special for an entire paint job for 249.00 im sure its not the greatest but 2'gs too much for me...Try this custom paint place in Wood Dale...right off Thorndale..called the Paint Spot. I got my front end repaired and painted very very nicely for 150.00..They do custom painting and restoring oldies cars and show quality Harley's. They got an oven big enough to fit a Nissan...their number is 630-787-9512.

$150??!!! That is crazy cheap! I think what I would need would be much more than that, though. I also have a few rust issues I need taken care of and a few dents and dings. Still, I will check them out. Thanks for the info:)
