lookin to get some new shoes to my freshly powder coated tsw revo 16's...

anyway been lookin at the yoko paradas, nitto trip-5's, falkens and kumho, tryin to go with 205-215/ 45-55 /16..must have z-rated..
what experiences have you guys had?
which do you recommend from where with a good price??

I had the Yoko Paradas previously. They were not bad either for the money. I think the tread noise was higher with them, but they stuck pretty well, too.

one question, why must you have Z rated? the reason i ask is 'cause W and Y are rated 168 and 186. chances are you'll never even see those speeds, anyway. the Z rating is an older rating thus the ambiguous 149+ speed association. if you must have the Z rated, then i'd suggest the Bridgestone Potenza S-02. personally i have the Potenza S-03 Pole Position and lemme tell ya, they stick like a fly in warm caramel!! it just rained tonite and i went around a curve @ 45 mph (which was never possible w/ my Potenza RE730's), car didn't even start to loose grip. check 'em out @ www.tirerack.com

How about some Dunlop SP Sport 5000, high performance all season. I just got a set yesterday. They come in 205/55/16.

I have Falken Azenises on my SE-R and they hook better than my slicks, and handle/holdup as well as the slicks. They have a 200 treadwear rating so they last about 15,000 miles. And they are cheap, the 215/45-16ZR's are $112 a peice, from Discount Tire. Discount Tire is having a free shipping promotion right now, too. The Falkens are very quiet due to them being so soft. Those tire are the sweetest. Another very cheap costing tire is the Kumho Ecsta 712, I have these on my Cavalier in a 205/55-16 and they were only $72 a peice. They last a long time, hook pretty decent, and are pretty quiet. Good money per tire, from both tires. Both tires are great in the rain, too.
