Alright I know most of ourt trannys have a fifth gear problem. I just bought a used tranny form a friend to mine who just rebuilt the fifth gear. However as soon as I put it in fifth two seconds later it pops back out. Is it possible that the cable is not adjusted properly or should pull the tranny back out. Also my original tranny seedo was electical and the one I just put in is cable. Can I just swap sensors. Asking because 1 sensor is lot longer than the other. Does that make a diff. thanks:(

you can just swap in you speed sensor as for the 5th gear its most likely bad. I bet you someone just flipped the collor and was thinking that would do it if the gear is really worn it wont you need a new gear.
