All I can say is I'm impressed. My tired motor ran a 13.3@104 with an open downpipe and 8 psi. This is 2 days after swapping out bearings. This is my original motor with 140,000 miles.

60' 1.913
1/8 8.555
MPH 82.81
1/4 13.314
MPH 103.99

well, i dont feel like making my own thread, so i will mooch off of yours terrin!

all runs were done at 6 psi, with 3" exhaust (2.5" muffler) 2.5" downpipe, tomei cams, forge motorsports FMIC. everything is mandrel bent.

found out the nittos grab fine once its going, but cannot take any reasonable launch speed, oh well, time for some slicks!

1st run: launched @ 2800 rpm, booog...pssshtttttt!!!!!!
60' 2.299
330' 6.050
1/8 ET: 9.098
1/8 MPH: 81.64
1/4 ET: 13.953
1/4 MPH: 99.19

2nd run: launched at 4000 rpms, PSHHTTT!!! rev limit x3 (i couldnt hear my car, was lined up against a 10 second CRX, all NOS!)
60' 2.468 (oops!)
330' 6.153
1/8 ET: 9.204
1/8 MPH: 81.05
1/4 ET: 14.062
1/4 MPH: 102.05 (strange, considering i hit the rev limit at the end of 1st 3 times, and once at the end of 2nd, sloppy run, was staring at the CRX, which TOOK OFF!)

3rd run: launched at 3200 rpm, same results as first, with a little less bog
60' 2.278
330' 6.034
1/8 ET: 9.097
1/8 MPH: 80.68 (wonder what happened there)
1/4 ET: 13.973
1/4 MPH: 101.70

i think all the runs were pretty damned good considering i wasnt hitting boost out of the hole like terrin was (slicks WILL do that for you, and as a result, launching at 6500 rpm) and was at 6psi.

nitto size was: 205-45-15 on black steelies (weigh about 10,000 tons) and was most likely affecting my trap speed.

i also just realized that the rule of 1/8 mile ET X 1.55=1/4 mile ET is accurate to within a few hundreths of a second...hmmm... (assuming traction wasnt a major issue)

Steve--

Good times for you, too!

Your mph tells me that your car *should* run about .2-.3 quicker with a good launch and good shifts. Which makes it a mid-13 second car. Right where you should be with that T25. :D

Both of you guys did a good job. I'm next. ;)

Wasn't that good of a day to go. I got there at 1 and only got 2 runs in. I'm going to try to hit some 12's in a few weeks. I will post about it on the forum. Another thing to add. My 20X8X14 slicks took a few mph off my trap speed since they were so small. Another thing, my driver's side slick spun off the rim on that run which made the run worse. I didn't even feel a thing. A guy ran up to me to tell me that. I really really feel confident with a 1.8 60' and a non spinning slick, I will hit a 12.9. Gotta dyno soon.

Terrin, I am not familiar with your setup. could you post what you're running? Thanks

i dont know how i am gonna get a better launch out of these tires, they are the 205-45-15 size, and they like to spin to the rev limit if i hit boost while they are still spinning from the launch. i will try a 4K slip next time, but i am not sure how well that will work.

i also found out i had a leak from the throttle body from when i RTV'd it (ripped the gasket when i did my injector install, 2 am, getting a new one today) so, my car was probably running a little rich. going back may 4th, will see if i can improve at 6 psi for 1 run, then it will be 10 psi, hoping for low 13s on street tires @ over 106. or maybe i will cave and buy some slicks for 12s.

Sorry dude, but low 13's on street tires? GOOD LUCK! Me? I'll stick with my 6500 clutch dumps. :D Wanna go again this weekend?

SEARCH THE ARCHIVES. They are there for a reason. Not trying to be an asshole, but I don't want to make a big old long post again.
