Wow, now it's starting to look like an engine again. :D I spent a few hours today hooking up the coolant lines for the turbo, plus getting the Primera intake manifold and 370cc/min injectors in. Plus all those little connections that have to be made. :( Here's the pics;

I chose to use the coolant lines that go to the throttle body to cool the T28. These lines are a stone biatch to get to, easily the most demanding part of this entire affair. I pulled the TB off to make access easier, and highly recommend this. You can see the Earl's SuperStock 1/4" hose (the red hoses), connected to the 3/8" coolant lines. Now then, the Earl's hose is 1/4". I simply cut 2-inch pieces of copper tubing to be the connectors between the two different-sized hoses. Then, I flared the ends of the copper connectors a little. Then, I used JB Weld to build up the end of the copper tube that goes in the 3/8" factory hoses a little, to promote a better seal. It helps make up the slight difference in size between the 1/4" copper pipe connector and the 3/8" hose. I do not want to go back in there again.

And here's what it all looks like once it's buttoned back up. The trick is to keep the hose on the left away from the throttle linkage, for obvious reasons. There's enough room under the bottom of the cylinder head to tuck the hose away from the linkage safely. A zip-tie makes sure that hose stays there.

Here's my Primera intake manifold upper section and 370cc/min injectors, installed on the car. This operation is much easier the second time around. :D The cast aluminum powdercoating on the intake really makes it jump out at you.

And here's the finished product. It's starting to look like an engine again, compared to the mess it was just yesterday. You can see the two coolant lines snaking around the block under the distributor, to where the T28 will reside in a couple days. It's still en route. :(
There's my Day 3 of turbo work on my '93 SE-R. The water lines were very, very time-consuming to get to, but having the intake upper off the car made it much easier, IMHO. Next up: Putting the T28 and GTi-R manifold in, hooking all the oil and water lines to the turbo, and installing the SR20Development downpipe. First, I have to cut the bolts off the catalytic convertor. They're really --I mean really-- on there.
