1. Redline MT-90 is the slowest flowing liquid on earth, with the possible exception of Heinz ketchup.

2. Changing the clutch cable is a cast-iron bitch. No two ways about it, there just isn't room for hands in there.

3. My car drives NICE now - two new tranny switches to combat the leak, synthetic gear oil, new clutch cable, combined with the SS from a few weeks ago... Schweet!

I need to not do any work on the car for a while. All in the last two-three months, or thereabouts:

Hotshot Gen 4 Headers
Hotshot WAI
Optima Battery
'91 intake cam
Pacesetter cat-back
Pacesetter SS
KYB AGX all around
Eibach Pro-Kits
Ghetto mesh grille
Hood bra (covers the stone chips 'till I can paint the car)

Maintenance - dist cap/rotor, tranny stuff, alternator, crank seal, oil pressure switch. Must rest body, mind and wallet.

If you think MT-90 is the slowest flowing liquid, then you haven't seen Redline's Shockproof tranny fluid... Looks like Pepto Bismol.

And smells worse!

Actually the used tranny fluid that came out of the car smelled far worse than the new stuff, and worse than anything in my recent memory.

I'm glad I decided not to wait until next weekend - I think only about 3 quarts came out, the leak was reaching the danger level.

From my experiences, MT5 usually smells pretty bad compared to what we are supposed to have in our cars - MT4. Is there any chance this was in there?

No idea. I suppose one of the previous owners might have put the wrong stuff in; the car has always shifted fine, no pop-out, no problems. Knock on wood...

BTW its GL-4 and GL-5, not MT.
