Hey guys,

I've posted this in other forums but i wanted to get ya'lls opinion as well. I have an 87 sentra, the engine is dying on me. I was thinking about turning it into my fun car which means taking it appart and rebuilding it. Wanted to put an SR20de in it to finally make some good power. I figure i can purchase a 91-93 se-r cheap and canablize the parts onto my car. I have a few questions.

1) should i use the engine from the se-r or just get a JDM? JGY sells em for $500.

2) should i use the trans from the se-r or should i just get one from Japan?

3) Is there anything you guys would keep from the se-r instead of using from my car?

4) anything i should do with the engine that would be hard to get to before i put it in?

5) I've never welded before so what places could help me weld a new motor mount? (i'm talking national chains or places in Virginia)

6) just remembered... How does one extend the shifter?

that's all i can think of right now. I know people have different opinions, i just want to here what everyone has to say and make a decision from that. This isn't going to be occuring anytime soon but probably in 6-8 months maybe a year. Thanks.
