: SSAC EGR plug
Coheed 06-16-2006, 01:06 PM  Does anyone know what kind of bolt will bolt into the EGR port on the SSAC header. They only sent me one plug and it is plugging the bottom hole. I heard that a honda transmission drain plug is the same size and thread pitch but I don't know. Any ideas?
~KnuckleDuster~ 06-16-2006, 01:07 PM Just bring the header to a hardware store and start sticking things in it
Coheed 06-16-2006, 01:13 PM the header is on the car. It's not coming off anytime soon. I was going to just take the other plug out and try to match it up at a hardware store, but i can't get it off. I will have to go to work to get a socktet big enough to fit.
~KnuckleDuster~ 06-16-2006, 01:18 PM do you still have that egr pipe laying around? you could always take that to the hardware store and match somthing up. Or get ghetto and cut and crimp the pipe..

Jaketips42 06-16-2006, 01:33 PM Damn, nice find ^^ I just weld mine closed.
Benito Malito 06-16-2006, 03:50 PM There is a free fix. All you need is some pb blaster and a large adjustable wrench.
Most SSSAC come with an extra small bung like for aiv and o2 sensor, and missing one of the large ones.... who knows why.
Your stock manifold should have a steel housing in the cast iron piece for the o2 sensor. Douse this with pb blaster/liquid wrech or whatever and wait awhile.
I let mine sit overnight and it came out with the adjustable wrench with almost no effort.
Then you take the small o2 sensor or aiv bung that you have no use for and put it in the stock 02 sensor housing... which screws right into your egr.
Done and free

So this part at the dealer is a plug just like the one that comes with the SSAC header? it fits right in with no modification? I will go check it out tomorrow.
markbuts3 06-19-2006, 08:38 PM Yes, the header plug part number has been posted lots of times.
Nissport sell it too... http://www.nissport.com/catalog/product.asp?ProductCode=NS-2213R&EquipmentType=Applications

That is absolutely NOT what I was saying.
Toolapcfan 06-20-2006, 07:39 PM I pinched mine off and welded it shut. I plan on buying the plug from Nissan.
markbuts3 06-20-2006, 07:44 PM Mine is very ghetto...
I used an old EGR pipe and cut it then flattened and folded it :)

Ummm WTF?
Something about this just doesn't fit right with me.. How the hell do you think your getting a good reading with that.. Might have well just got rid of the 02 all together.

JSutter 06-20-2006, 09:04 PM NO the o2 does not work LOL. Its filling the hole, by using the stock plug and an old O2 sensor. It actually doesnt fit in the hole becuase of the tip. I had to cut it off. Yes I could have went out and bought an 18mm bolt but that would cost money.
The original O2 is in the correct spot

Benito Malito 06-20-2006, 11:35 PM ^oooooh ok. Looks like you got a hotshot though. The SSAC header comes with two little bungs for aiv/o2 and one for the larger bung in the secondary where the wideband could go if you had one. So when the egr doesn't fit you have nothing to fill it with.
Most people do run an 02 sensor, and don't run an egr/aiv. So basically they send you the wrong bungs
2dr_sentra 06-22-2006, 05:07 PM do they sell a block off coming off the intake manifold?
