Hi, I know I shouldn't run my SR20DE with my BB engine. But is that only a air-fuel ratio problem? If yes, I know somebody (competent) who could do it (reprogramming only for the air-fuel ratio). But I would really like to know if the maf has something to do with reprogramming.

Also, my engine didn't come with a top mount intercooler, instead, the pipe getting out of the compressor side is going downwards (to a fmic I guess) what engine is that? Another year or version of the BB?

And if I use a BB DET ECU (Automatic tranny), will this work safely?

They modify the maps of the ecu.
Fuel, timing, etc. (I say etc because I don't know all of what they do)

If it has a Silver VC (unpainted) it is out of a Nissan Avenir GT.

Horsepower 230ps

I posted more info on this a while back just go to SEARCH and type in AVENIR and the post should come up lots of good info.

The engine has only one throttle body and the vc is red painted...

These are believed to be ball bearing T-25 that is why they are rated at 230PS.

The B in 4B, I believe indicates ball bearing as with Red Top's the part numbers are different and there is no B on the last row of part number's.

Why would ball bearings make any more power on a T25?

I have a '96 Avenir engine I'm swapping into my car. Do you know if that Avenir HP figure is for all Avenirs or just newer ones? (I seem to remember hearing that only '98 and up had ball bearing turbos, but I don't know if it's true) Also, is the Avenir T25 as effecient as the Bluebird T25?

Where am I supposed to read the information on the engine? I'm able to read the information on the turbo like .80, T25, etc

YES 1996-7 have the same horse power rating 169kw which 230ps which is 226bhp here the link
