I keep hearing people say that, but when you actually go to find one of the famous P11/B15 trannies, they suddenly become rarer than a can of Pabst at an AA meeting. If you know where I can find one, let me know.

I just bought a '96 tranny for $400.

I got my B15 trans for $700.

A guy locally got his for $600, while they are tricky to find they are out there. I will be on the search to get one in the near future myself.

If you're going to spend large dinero on a tranny, that is the way to go.

Otherwise look for a used B14 tranny in good shape and buy it.
