Curious... I know it's recommended to replace rod bearings on the BB DET before installation, but is this also true for the GTi-R? Anyone running a GTi-R have experience with this? Thanks!

Okay. Now, I know the GTi-R uses different rods than the BB and other DEs soooo, where would one get replacement bearings for the DET?

Malvern racing in VA gets the Gti-r bearings but its not factory. It Clevite. Sr20 B12 father recommened them to me but they take like 2 weeks and its like $50 for the Main bearing set or rod bearing set. Ive seen them and they are the real deal with the 5 holes for the mains.

Courtesy Nissan is a good place to check too. They have really good prices too. Ask for Brian!

The number on my BB DET block is 3, can I order the bearings right away with this?

Awesome info, thanks guys! And BTW djisnx2000, no, you have to get the numbers from the bottom of the block and the numbers from the crank and plug them into the "matrix" in the FSM to size the correct bearings.
