Very? Not very? This is the door jamb, between the hinges of the door of my $300 SE-R. I didn't notice any weird flexing while the car was driving, but the driver's side door latch hook looks like this:

But, strangely enough, the rust on the passenger side door jamb is worse and that side's door latch hook looks brand new.
Frankly, I just plan on running this car hard until it breaks in half, and then parting it out, so I don't plan on doing much more than welding up the door hook at work (so the door doesn't fly open on me.

I wouldn't start worrying until the door falls off or a strut shoots through the hood due to the rust :)
You should be ok, thats better then some i have seen and still function

It looks to me like it's so rusted that it has fractured. That's pretty bad. I wouldn't say it renders the car unsafe to drive, but pretty soon between that and the rust induced fractures on your door latch, you're going to have door issues if you don't already. I'd weld in a flat plate and remount that door latch. As for the hinged side, there's no easy way to fix that at all. You'd have to remove the door, cut out the nastiness and try to weld in some sort of splice.

The weird thing is that the door latch hook doesn't really have any rust around it, apart from that tiny bit on the bottom, which is just surface stuff. O_o I can see the latch plate behind the bodywork has a bit of rust on the surface, but nothing crazy...its probably from moisture coming in through the cracked bodywork.
I wonder if door sagging from the other side's problems caused it to crack on the other side.
I'm probably just going to knock the rust off the door jamb and weld in a couple strips of flat stock to keep the flexing down when I open the door (I can weld for free at work! yippee!) For the latch hook, I'll probably just weld it all into one big glob and hope it holds. This isn't a long term car...as soon as something major happens I'll dump it. I just want it to last me through winter.

I actually had a car shoot a shock up into it's trunk thanks to rust :o

I used to run 12's in a car more rusted than that!
