Hi,
My car seems to have some sort of electrical leak, because if I do not drive it for a few days then it will not start and I'll need to recharge the battery.
My car is an NX-R so has all the electrical extras (cruise control, windows, mirrors etc..), so I'm not exactly sure where to start looking..
Any help would be appreciated.

maybe you need some alternator stop leak
lol
really without anyother info the best i can say its the diodes in your alty need a new one
that is as long as there isnt any drow from anything aftermarket
snag the alty to the nearest part store and have them benchtest it

god luck

first check to make sure that no lights stay on when you shut everything. doors, dome, and trunk lights...(i'm serious have someone get in your trunk to check for you when you close it.)
then do a current draw test and if its drawing excessive amperages, start pulling fuses till the current draw goes down.

I had this happen to me before, so check it. Otherwise I also say it's the alternator, or you might need a new battery.

Speaking of new battery... I actually did have that happen to me when I first got my car. the Battery kept dying and it turned out that 2 of the cells were shorting out. The battery would read 12.3 volts, but the second it was under any load it would crap out...Try load testing the battery. Make sure it's fully charged, then have someone else crank over the engine while you hold the voltmeter on the terminals and see what it reads. If the reading dips significantly, that might be your problem.

the bad trunk light switch is your # one choice for a problem.
just first take the bulb out and see if your problem goes away.

Check the output of the alternater with the ignition off.

Or a faster way to do it is shut the trunk, get inside, fold the rear seat down and look to see if the light is on.
