I guess this was due to the massive wheel hop combined with my act 6 puck. I thought the es motor mount inserts would prevent this but I thought wrong. The crack was repaired with a little jb weld just to prevent further leaking, so far it works. Now that I have to look for a tranny, I'll need some advice on which years are most durable. Also I would appreciate any further advice on where to send the internal gears to be cryoed and shotpinged. Another thing I'm considering is having the case welded, so any help there would be great too!

Oh, here's my mods:

ES Motor mounts, Jun 10.5 lbs flywheel, ACT HD/6P, 11 lbs 15's w/Kumho 712's, POP, and stripped interior.

1/4: 15.24s @ 89.57mph

um.... your running with a 6 puck clutch with just a pop charger???

with your mods, i don't think you need to spend money on cryno treating the gears. I think the case would need more attention. shotpeen the case. IMHO.:)

Are u using pressure plate??

My friend have the 6 puck ACT disk only and his car don;t have any wheel hop at all, and he still have stock mount.

yep im on my 3rd tranny. thats why i stopped racing my stupid SE-R.. trannys get expensive :o

SR20Development has a machined insert that welds in the weak grove of the tranny. It is much better than spending the time to fill the whole gap by hand. Their # is (619) 69 turbo .

It might sound a little overkill for the mods I have now, but I'm waiting to have my turbo kit built by Isidro @ Highperformanceonline.com... just prepairing for the extra hp and tq. I was expecting my 94K tranny to give once I go turbo, but not with my mods.

matt had a cone filter, pacesetter header, and courtesy nissan exhaust....... the first one was just cracked, and leaked, and its replacement spit up a huge chunk of case the first time he tried to launch at the track(hole about the size of your fist)
