: Mudflaps...
RySE-R 1 04-10-2002, 02:28 PM I was wondering if anyone has the OEM style balck mudflaps on their SE-R. I used to have them on my '93, but don't have them on my '92. Can you order those from Nissan, and will they fit a '92? I don't think I've seen any except on '93 and '94 Classics.
eric96ser 04-10-2002, 03:07 PM I have a set in my garage that I need to install. They've been there since last June. I guess I'm lazy. Anyway, I bought them from Courtesy for around $55 for all 4. There's no differences in the '93-'94 from the '91-'92 that would cause these not to work.
RySE-R 1 04-10-2002, 08:30 PM Good to know! I'm getting sick of my side sills getting all grimed up and torn up by rocks when driving in crappy weather or roads. Mudflaps might help keep the areas right behind the wheel wells on the side sills from rusting, too, huh? Plus, I think they look good on our cars.
Lamchop 04-11-2002, 02:16 PM I bought some genuine flaps on EBay for about $36 or so. The guy says it's for 4-door sentra sedans but also said he checked with the local Nissan dealer and the dude told him it'll also fit on the two-door. I took his word for it, bought it, and love them. They're a perfect fit but didn't come with instructions so make sure you get all the little pieces and figure out where they go before installin' them. -Danny
chriscar 04-11-2002, 02:28 PM I saw that auction, you just got them about a week ago right? He listed a part number on the auction, which I ran by a dealer. That part number comes up at around $20. Do you happen to still have the number? I'm not sure if that number is for the set, or I mudflap. Any idea?
update
I found the auction, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1816017619&r=0&t=0
And the part number 99990-10079
Nissanparts.cc list that part as follows;
Sen Splsh Grd-4 (List) $23.45 (Price) $12.98
The -4 in the description makes me think it's a set of 4.
update
Called the local dealer and he told me it's a set of 4, but didn't have any in stock.
Well, I took the plunge and ordered them from nissanparts.cc (along with a bunch of oil filters, since shipping was $6.95). I'll let you all know.

Lamchop 04-12-2002, 02:56 PM Nah, I actually got mine for about half-a-year or so, and it was all four corners. $20 is a great price! -Danny
SmoothDaddyFig 04-12-2002, 06:00 PM I went the AutoZone route.
I bought some regular mudflaps and contoured them with a razor blade. I have some I can post later.

I called my dealership today (before I saw this thread) and was quoted a list price of $72.00. I figured with a SERCA discount the price would be about around the $55.00 mentioned from Courtesy. Thanks for your post Chris, I emailed nissanparts.cc for prices on several items, splash guards included!

garys 04-16-2002, 09:54 AM I went back and checked a receipt from Sept. '00 for a splash gaurd purchase on a previously owned Sentra, and the part number given is F3830-65Y00. I entered it into the nissanparts.cc parts search, and here is what it came up with:
F3830-65Y00 Splash Gurd Kit List $72.00 $59.69
Not sure were talking apples to apples here.
(Chris, I emailed you this info.)

chriscar 04-16-2002, 10:11 AM Gary,
Thanks, I know that the # I used is different than most people have used in the past, but for $13, I figured WTF!
I did call a local dealer, and they verified that is was a valid # for a set of four Nissan Sentra Splash Guards.
Did you take a look aht the picture from the eBay auction?

I'll get back to you on the email.

garys 04-16-2002, 01:35 PM I just called my local Nissan dealership and gave them the ebay part number.
They said it fits an '80's vintage Sentra ('82 to '88, or something like that). As for whether they'll fit our cars...???

Hmmmm,
That doesn't sound promising. I just reread lamchops posts, I thought he was the winning bidder on the eBay auction I referrenced, but now that I reread it I realize that's not the case.
Oh well, I may wind up paying the price ($13) for being such a cheap ass! :)
