Alright all, I am thinking of getting an older 240 for cheap, (engine most likly needs replacing). I would love to do an SR20 swap but that would be very cost prohibitive for what I want, so I was wondering where I could get another KA24 to drop in. I called Soko and they don't carry them. Also IIRC pre 91 the engine was different (KA24E or KA24D instead of KA24DE) anyway the car would prob be a 1990. So IIRC that is the older engine. Could I swap the KA24DE right in or would there be issues. I know this it the forum for RWD SR20 Swaps but you guys in here most likly know more that I could find on a 240 site, (brown nosing a little) plus I was already a member here.

There is no fitment problems, but Im really not sure exactly what youll need to complete a KA24DE swap.

My neighbor has a KA24DE sitting in his yard. It only has 60K miles on it. Its been sitting in the open for about 2 months, but its not rusted and the spark plug wires are still attached so no water has gotten inside the engine. If you want it, let me know.
