Ran my NX2000 with 214k miles against a new 350Z. The 350 jumped a half a car ahead of me and we were pretty steady from then on.
When I slowed down after.. I can hear a slight rod knock. Not sure how much longer this engine would hold up now that this happened.
Anyways, Im about to pull the motor. The engine looks like a PITA!
Any advice??

If this was a street race then you deserved it for being a idiot :D
If it was at a legal track then sorry for your loss. As for advice SEARCH!

You never posted your 1/4 or 1/8 mile times :melonscratcher:. Why don't you share, this is the Drag Racing section... isn't it.
Oh yeah, I wouldn't drive the car anymore until you research your problem alittle more. Changing the bearings can be done with the motor still in the car, if you have the know-how.

15.52 @ 88mph with an HKS intake...
Im considering replacing the bearing instead of replacing the entire motor. That may be easier than pullin the engine out it seems.

I have never done it in the car. But if you can get by the motor still has 215k on it new bearings or not. I would go JDM. Spend a week clean the bay get some good motor mounts and a new clutch and ride for 120,000 more miles!!

I've done rod bearings while the engine is in the car, it's not bad at all.
