I recently had my car stop running about 2 wks ago. The symptoms were none of the dash lights, radio, gauges would work nor would the engine turn over. However my headlights, tail lights still work. I traced the problem down to the 12v supply to the ignition switch. Now according to the FSM I do get batt volt at the 30amp fuse in the fuse box. However I don't get batt volt from there to the ignition switch. It appears that the connection is shorted right where the batt volt passes the fuse.

I will get a pic later of what I'm talking about but it appears that I'm going to have to bypass that fuse. I'm thinking of splicing into the 25amp fuse lead then remote wiring in a 30amp fuse so I can get my car running again. Has anyone ever had a short in the fuse box before?

check your hot wirre at the alternator for a loose connection. If that doesnt work check all grounds and starter connection
