I need to know where I can get a T28 turbo from a GTI-R rebuilt, supposedly the turbo only has a blown intake seal, but I think it best to rebuild the whole thing. While going thru Rob Cadle's turbo write-up I came accross this:

GTi-R T-28 is a really good turbo. I think that it is better if you lose
the T-3 compressor housing and get a housing off of the S14. This is a big
improvment. With the T-04B compressor housing, the GTi-R turbo can support
about 16 psi and 280+ wheel hp. Makes pretty good boost by 3500 RPM, too.

Do you guys know a place or person that can modify the turbo like this? or how much it would be to rebuild the turbo completely, or just for a rebuild kit? and if you know a place/person, can I have their contact info website/e-mail/phone #? Thanks,

I used Majestic Turbo (http://www.majesticturbo.com) for my rebuild. Nice work $285. Kevin's a good guy.

Check out the compressor maps on their site. You could put a S60 trim wheel in the T3 housing = 36lb/min or go with Robs suggestion to go with the T04B housing and a 60-1 wheel for 65lb/min. Get some injectors 'cause that bad boy will push some air! IIRC Rob's suggested using a NS-111 wheel on the turbine side in the .86 A/R housing. Let me know how much they want for that. I've been meaning to ask.

A stock GTiR T28 flows 33lb/min.

i can rebuild them for $240 plus shipping(CA). they return clean and balanced. some places rebuild the guts and dont balance them again, though im sure majestic balances them. if you want different wheels i can do that too just tell me what you want. housings are harder to come by but i can get them. let me know pm me.
