Hey everyone! Let me start off by saying sorry I've been out of contact for the last week. I've been working on my computer and had a bad cold <cough cough> =)

Anyways, it's meetin time again! So let's plan one.

First, we really need 2 meets.

1st Meet - I need to have a meeting with anyone interested in being a club officer or just wanting to help short term. As I see it we really have 2 major things we need to work out in the near future.

The first item is our club webpage. We need a Web Design Group. I don't know how to code pages, so this is something I can't do for the club. The Design group will need to decide what the club webpage will look like, how much it will cost to setup and maintain, let the rest of the club know their findings, and if the club agrees... to actually build and maintain the page.

The second item is our logo and advertising. We need a Logo Design Group. We need a few people who can create a logo for the club, price out various advertising ideas and sources and finally if the club agrees... to actually produce the logo on whatever forms of advertising the club thinks are best.

If you have any abilities in either of these areas, please let me know.

2nd Meet - It'd be fun if we could all meet up somewhere just to have fun! Barnacles was great and we could do that again... any other ideas? I wish my Apt. wasn't so small... I've got a bunch of Best Motoring/Hot Version/Option 2 videos (Japanese Car racing) that are great to watch in a group.

unless you want the webpage very plain, in not the girl for the job....

what date are we looking at for the meeting??? most any evening works for me....and I'd be willing to give up my fairly large place for a 'hang out' spot, but we live in Lakeland...

we could always meet at the drag strip or something.

nope i dont work there but its a place where cars are and thats what this is a SE-R (car) club. but its just an idea

BTW I was just messing with you dude. Its just a bitch to drive all the way out there during the week, but I guess others drove a long distance to get to barnacles

I'm no where near Tampa, but if you guys need any help making the page/club logo, let me know, I can work some magic in Photoshop :D

I just whipped that up real quick, I dont know if any of you like it or not.

If you need some help with the web page I can help work on that too. Im not a web genius but I can do some general stuff. And Im still learning. Can we try and make the meeting on a friday or sunday? I work and go to school every other day.

personally.... I would really not be too impressed if we met at a drag strip.....not every SE-R owner is into drag racing(I'll be the first to step up and announce my disinterest in it)

but, I wouldn't expect everyone to meet at an AutoX either....

therefore the reason for meeting at a neutral place such as a restauraunt, there was even some discussion of meeting at Nissan Of Brandon....

That's why we switch it up. NOB, Reseraunt, Drag Strip. If your just gonna sit around and BS at a NOB or whereever, why not BS at a DRAG STRIP? People can chat , hang out & race. Hours of fun just like the Dyno Day will be. I don't forsee myself having hours of fun at a dealership. Just my opinion.

PS: Autocross would be cool too.

we were discussing a main meeting at a place such as a restraunt. for club business, etc

then having different events: meeting at the strip, track, autocross, dynos, cookouts, what-for and so-on thruout the month, but planning our agenda at the "main" meeting, which is not really a 'fun' event-its more of a business meeting, a time to throw out ideas and plan our little events....

(this is how I understood it from talking with Brad the others that stayed late at the last meeting)

Exactly, I'm all for going to an AutoX or Drag event but I think that should be an outting... not a meeting (meaning it's not our main monthly meet). Who knows, if they're successful enough, maybe eventually our outtings will become our main meetings. Let's just give it some time before we go that far.

You know, the more I thought about it, NOB is kind of a bad idea for a regular meeting spot... only because we'd probably run out of time before they shut down. We can't start too early on a week day because people who work and live in Clearwater/St. Pete need time to get home, get cleaned up, and then fight traffic back to Brandon. I know the last time we meet at Barnicles we ran past 10pm. I haven't asked yet because of this. I'm sure the GM would be fine with it but I'm also sure they'd want us out exactly on time... and that could be annoying.

I am going to talk to a friend of mine that owns a beef or brady's to see if we can have a private room that would be sorta nice

You guys are just getting too organized here. What kind of club business should there be? I feel a once or twice per month outing would be nice be it at the track or Gameworks or something. I was hoping this would not turn into a club with "officers" and I really hope this does not tun into monthly dues or mandatory attendance. I have spoke with other members who have concerns about meeting spots as well. Brandon is not always a centralized spot too meet for the Sarasota & St. Pete members. Just my opinions here.
