Sunny 04-12-2002, 10:43 PM this dyno place obviously looks like it was set-up just for rear drive cars. where you able to squeeze a cooling fan between the wall and the cars.

SmoothDaddyFig 04-12-2002, 11:28 PM Great Pics!!!!
How about some NUMBERS to go with the faces.
Who was the Dyno King that day?

well, the owner, eric started out autoxing his se-r. so considering he opened his business w/ the intentions of catering to the se-r, i don't think he placed the dyno in the garage for RWD cars. both rwd and fwd cars can get the fan blowing on 'em. here's his website: Rosen (www.rosenautosport.com)

well, mpg9999 SAID he was gonna post his dyno #'s and i can scan it p-nutheads and sr20sleepers next time i see 'em. i have one more pic, 98sr20de's green machine, i have to fix the gamma ** i post it.
of course we already saw my dyno post, but i was the runner up that day. Mr. Roper's egg landed the big #'s w/ 148 whp and 133 f/lb tq.

don't quote me, but IIRC he had CAI, headers, exhaust, s3's, pullies, jwt ecu. i know for a fact he had the headers, cams and ecu.
Storm88000 04-13-2002, 02:24 AM Nice site Stiletto. I'm on it now.
I don't know about anyone else, but I truly prefer the 99 front end look over the 98's.
Stiletto 04-13-2002, 02:57 AM i like it too. except mine has the clear coat comin' off of it. i want somebody to just back into it, then gimme the money so i can paint it!
sr20sleeper 04-13-2002, 10:36 AM I put down 134.2hp@6500rpm and 120.8lb-ft@4600rpm. I have pop-charger, headers, cat and exhaust.
I'm really considering the JWT ecu and cams after seeing that egg pull almost 150whp! but then again, i can get a sr16ve for the same price! I dont know what to do.
nathan
Serban 04-13-2002, 12:01 PM ok, I need cams, cai, and an ecu so i can bust 160 :D

his WAI might live off my exhaust fumes, but the second i have to turn a corner, he'll out perform me w/ his ultra suspension modded green machine!! :D
JonSE-R 04-13-2002, 08:46 PM That would be "Doctor" Erik Roper, an excellent dentist, with the very quick white NX. And the "didn't get his name" guy in the gray classic is Ivan Chou from Maryland.
As for the orientation of that dyno, the big roller box went in the garage bay that way because there was already a pit in the ground from when the building used to be a tire place, and that was their alignment pit (with ramps). Why dig up a concrete floor to make a hole when you can use an existing one? It works just fine for FWD or RWD of course. :-)
Looks like fun, sorry I missed it. I'd like to see what my 93 would do on the dyno with the current mods...
Jon
(who used to work at Rosen's, and helped Eric install that dyno...)
Stiletto 04-13-2002, 09:27 PM jon, wazzup?! yeah, the NX is fast, but i'd rather have his M3 roadster (which pulled a 246whp/218 tq that day)!!
so i hear you're persuing a career in the IT field. do you have any preference as to what area you wanna work in (network security, sys admin., web development, etc.)?

The M3 is Rosen's, not Roper's (unless Roper got a new car and I haven't heard about it yet). Damn that's a sweet ride though :-)
You're thinking of Joe Henderson, not me (Joe replaced me as Manager at Rosen's last summer). Joe is indeed pursuing a career in the IT field now, because that's what his degree is in. Shoot me a PM if you want his email address...

Stiletto 04-14-2002, 08:28 PM roper got a sweet '02 m3 roadster. eric's bimmer is the regular m3, right?
sorry about the confusion!! when i woke up this afternoon after working my usual 12 hr shift i realized my mistake. also, didn't joe have red se-r? that shoulda been my first clue that you weren't him. still i'll prolly see you @ VMP on the 10th of may, if you're going. :)

Bad ass! I haven't talked to Roper in months so I had no idea he got such an awesome ride. :-) Yep, Rosen's '02 M3 is a regular coupe, very dark blue (so dark blue that it looks black). I'm gonna call Roper tomorrow, maybe he can take me for a ride. :-)

No prob... yep, Joe had two red SE-R's, a 93 street car and a 91 Lightweight racecar-in-progress. AFAIK both have been sold now.
I plan to be at VMP on the 10th... but no promises. :-)
Jon
Stiletto 04-15-2002, 02:29 AM i think he sold the street se-r tranny (or something) for his bike.
