OMG, the first time ever the Turbonetis white 2001 Celica ever runs the quarter mile, 1sr round qualifying here in gainesville. The car ran perfectly straight, shot like a freaking arrow. Nobody expected it. The car ran a 7.3@199.94mph, OMG, too impressive, I am still in awe. The car tomorrow will surely run a 6sec pass and a 200mph trap speed, winning the summit sport compact purse. OMG, sorry I didnt get pics, I am too poor, OMG, I still can't believe what I saw. A 300ZX ran a 7.4@178 to 185mph, to get second or 3rd place. Jesus. Also, Jo Jo callos lost control of his car 3/4 of the way down the track, and almost took out the wall and kenny tran while at it. He somehow managed to wobble the car 4 times, go into the other lane, and do a 180turn in the middle of the track starting at 130mph or so. he ended with a 10.51@30mph, pretty sick stuff, watch ESPN or ESPN2 soon for the event, too amazing,

It's a complete tube frame drag car, V8 Toyota engine, RWD, 2 turbos I would say like T78 each. They also had a Big Block Mustang with a T110 turbo or something the size of our engines. Runs a 7.4 quarter and is streetable. They wouldnt let the mustang run though,

If that Celica isn't FWD it will not win the money offered by Summit. It has to be front drive.

Man you guys just don't know. Scranton Brothers Racing is awesome. They also race a twin turbo new style "Bullet" Mustang that runs like low-7's, high-6's weighing over 3,000lbs., with only 10.5" wide slicks. I'm proud to say, he uses my work's parts on his car :D. Matt Scranton is the man. Pinellas County in Florida is blessed to have a bunch of great pro-mod drivers. Another one is Corky Markwart that got to the 2nd or 3rd round at Gainsville in the Gatornat'ls in street mod or something like that, he usually drives other people's 6 second pro mods ;). He is my friend's uncle, that I work with. And we can't forget Jeff Esslin, who is currently on the NHRA Pro-Mod Exhibition Tour, running the Richard Erle Studdie. My boss just got his Richard Erle Pro-Stock car...man I can go on and on :D.
