I have a couple questions about toda racing. As far as there cams go how do they rate to jwt cams. And what duration and lift should i run with bb det. Also can i use the flywheel they have listed on the website for the gti-r with the USDM trannies. Any inputs would be helpful.

I'm not 100% sure, but I have been told that you can't use the toda flywheel with a front wheel drive DET

According to website they have to cam specs, mild street cam and a cam that is racing only, but it dosen't say anything about solid lifter or hyd lifter. If they work for the silvia shouldn't they work for our cars? Also if you look on the website it says use for n/a and turbo and don't think there is n/a solid lifter sr20 engine out there. Also in the comments section of the cam descripition it refers to std lash adjuster is used. Does that give any clue?www.todaracing.com

If the cams are ment for the RWD SR20 the exhaust cam won't work, becuase ours runs the distributor, the S13's has electronic distributor....

i emailed toda racing they got back to me. They quoted in saying "that the cams they carry on the website will work on silvia engines and earlier sr20 engines", also that they used to carry gti-r cams but they discontinued them.So i guess they will work on b13,b14, g20 and bb det engines. I assuming they will not work on newer b15 roler rocker system. My only question how do they relate to jwt cams as far as quality and duration and lift. Has anybody delt with toda out there, I am assuming that they have more experience in nissan tuning than jwt. Inputes would be appreciated.

Yes, the cams will work on both S13's and HVLA SR20DE's and SR20DET's! The exhaust cam still has the cut out for the distributor so it will work for our cars! The exhaust cam will have a long dowel pin for the S13, but it will fit without any problems! Toda will also supply a longer cam gear bolt for the S13's cam gear!

I believe Toda makes cams with the same specs as JWT S3 or S4 cams; 260* or 264* and 11.5mm lift! Nothing special, Japanese companies have been making cams many years berfore JWT made cams for the SR20!

So would you go with the toda cams because they have been making them longer than jwt . Also according to the website the highest lift they use is 264* with 11.0 lift. What is your opinion. I want to run bb det with a t-28 with a forge fmic and a set of cams. jwt or toda which ever is better. I want about 260 to 270 flywheel horsepower.
