Saturday we started prepping the NX for the up-and-coming motor swap sometime in May. Here are a few pics....

Took 2 hours to get the damn nuts off this stupid heat shield and exhaust manifold!

Question! Would unbolting the downpipe from the crossmember support make it easier to take off the exhaust manifold? Because right now, we can wiggle the manifold as much as we like, but it won't come off of any of the studs!!

Yes, take those pesky nuts off...the manifold should slide right out...I believe it comes out the top....also, you might wanna consider spraying down the CAT bolts with some kinda rust eating stuff..to get them ready....or heat them up with a torch...

Well, i have no intention of removing the cat, or anything attached to it....but i'll spray it now just in case i ever do.

When you get the motor swapped do you want to sell it? Currently SR20 free looking again.

why would you want this motor if you are selling the motor out of the NX you bought for a parts car?

ooh, the car! *light bulb clicks on* Hehe, I am actually selling it once I finish it...but there's currently a waiting list for it! My girlfriend has first dibs, then my brother. If for some reason they fall through (which I highly doubt), then you have next dibs!

Some of those nuts were tight as sin...we were dismantling it this past weekend. Its so much fun to take apart this car. This is really our first project car, so wish us luck!! ANd thanks for the help!!
