the blower switch for the AC/heat only works on setting 4. Anyone else have this problem? What do I need to replace? I've lived with this for a while now, but its getting pretty annoying, so I want to take care of it. Thanks

It is the blower motor resistor under the glove box. It has 1 connector and 2 small screws holding it on. I had to replace mine a while back. I got one from the dealer for under 20 bucks.

Try here http://www.sr20de.net/car_info/problems/blower_resistor.html This is a common problem.

I took my glove box and the passenger side panel off yesterday and looked and I see the motor, but where is the actual resistor? Is it the plug that plugs into the side of the motor? I've checked my Haynes manual, but its not specific enough. Maybe I'm just retarded, but I don't see it.

If you have a 91-94 Sentra, Se-r or nx, it is right under the glove box near the firewall. It goes vertical into the hvac box. It has 2 silver phillips screw holding it up and a wire connector going to it that is like 2 inches long. Unbolt it, slide it out and put the new one in. When you slide it out, the end in the hvac box resembles a credit card. You don't have to remove your glove box.

OK gang I just took mines out. Mines AC was working on high only and eventually it just stopped working. So I figured this Credit Card looking thing is the problem. Ok so my question is this part universal on all Nissan Sentras? I have a friend of mines that is taking a XE to the junkyard and he told me I can take anything I wanted off the car before he junked the MOFO! I don't need anything from the car but this Credit card looking thing. How exactly does this thing work? Its a funny looking thing.

They are the same. I had a 91 sentra E and they are interchangeable. Promise.
