i have tried keeping my eye out in the boards but never saw any capital region peeps. I see a few SE-R's and NX's round here and have always been curios if it was someone on here. And on another note i finall saw my first up close and personal SR20det 240 and it was beautiful. Central Ave in Albany is beginning to becomeing bigger and bigger for imports. There seems to by more turbos poping up. Races are getting good too. No more stock hondas racing eachother.

I just got on this board. I recently bought a lightly modded se-r from LI. I have lived in the albany area my whole life. Now I work in Hudson and have to drive there everyday from my home in amsterdam. I know for sure that there is a black and red 200sx that featured a det of some sort at autobahn on central. It is a sick ride. I have only seen it once...ncie car...think it puts out like 300 to the wheels. I never see any classic se-rs around.

One of my close friends lives in Amsterdam too. She drives an 01 GXE. I grew up in East Greenbush and went to Columbia HS. Seems like i made the best of friends when i lived there because we still hang out whenever we get the chance.. we'll have to set a meeting spot on Central ave. I'm bound to be in the area at least a couple times this summer. You guys go to Ralf's, Cafe Hollywood, Big House etc.?? We used to hang on Lark street too.

there is a car wash on central that turns into a car show every night. When it gets too big the cops flush us out and we go to hannaford down the block. Last week there was bout 30 cars there. Only Nissan's were 2 240sx, 1 had an sr20 and other was stock. There was also a 240Z turbo. Rest were all honda's. couple turbo honda's though. You should stop down. this summer when i get my turbo kit i am gonna have to floss down there. Need a lttle body work too *** of previos owner also. Just hit me up if you are up here, and maybe you can show my honda obsessed friends what an sr20 can do.

Stop by Hoffmans Car Wash down on Central Ave, there is a few but it is the one after Westgate shopping center going towards Schenectady. Usually on Fri. and Sat. nites the crowd can get pretty big. The later you are there the more racing and sick cars come in. BEWARE: RICE GETS STRONG! You will see neons and whasher nozzle lights, but it all cancels out when the turbos ride in.

WEll, the car came loaded. It was previously owned by a NYPD cop who used it as his weekender. Never been on the track and it was babied. It looks like it has a homemad CAI because the tube is a lot larger than any I have seen on here with a K&N. I hav eth stillen front lip, front and rear cross drilled rotors and metal master pads, 16 inch v-racing konig rims, Trust full exhaust, HS headers, UDP, GR-2 Struts and stock se-r springs/ I have eibachs ont he way that came with the car, also have poly bushings (squeeky). 65 grand original milage...aftermarket power locks and windows, a/c...I got a really good deal on it and I think the clutch is stock but still works great. I havent had any problems iwth it for the 5 thousand I have had it for. Nicest car I ever had, makes my 95 maxima look like dirt. Funny thing about friends in Amsterdam, once I moved to albany and then came back...there is no one left. At night I just tinker on my car and work out for something to do. I never go out. What a change from college.

you should really tke a trip down central. during the summer on the weekends are like constant car shows. When the weather starts getting nice again so i can work on my car we should meet up or sumptin. My one friend thinks SER's are ugly, but never really saw one in person. He also owns a 1989 Accord hatch so his taste aint that good.

maybe this summer I can actually do things besides traveling. I plan on doing a lot more and mos def. auto-xing the se-r a little. Its my daily driver sadly enough and I have a 140 mile/day commute to work. So hopefully I will be closer to albany by the end of the summer for my se-r's sake. Still have some work to do on it however....just cosmetic crap like getting rid of the most horrible pin striping theme in the history of Se-Rs. Also, I may throw in the JWT ECU, but havent decided yet if I really want to run 93 octane with my long trips. I would also like to meet some people who have dont the turbo install on the se-r so I can see it in person. But I dont know if there are really any classic se-rs in albany with a turbo yet besides that tricked out 200 sx in schenectady i saw a few years ago.

i have never met anyone with a non turbo SER in person. i test drove one but, i had to back out of buying it *** i got my tuition bill to pay. I wish it was still there. I will either have the new hotshot kit for my 1.6 or just pay bout a grand more and do the DET swap myself. I understand what u mean not wanting to run 93 on those long trips. I run 93 now but i dont drive my car that much. We definatly gotta meet up this summer, we are having a swap week at my friends house. He is gonna throw a B16 into his civic and we are gonna build his old motor and throw it into my friends crx. Plus my swap/ install of turbo kit.
