Hopefully someone can help shed some light on this........

If I turn the ignition to the ACC position no accessory lights will turn on (dash). The only lights that will turn on are the batt. and brake lamp (but this is common with electrical problems) The wierd thing is that when I pull the key out of the ignition those lights will stay lit... I have to disconnect the battery to shut them off....

In addition the starter wont work either. I push started it and it will run fine and all the ACC/ dash lights will light just as it starts up.

I checked all the fuses and fusible links and one was blown: the engine control fuse in the interior fuse box, but after I replaced it the same thing kept occuring (but the fuse was NOT blown afterwards) The battery and Alt are both in good shape (checked) I will tear some of it down Tues. but I could use some suggestions on what I might be missing.


Any Ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated since I only have a day to work on it.....

I just ordered a new ignition switch (electric part w/o the tumbler)so that might help.....

I will post my results just incase someone else ever runs into this problem
