I'm getting ready to install some guages in my NX next week and need some ideas on where to put them. I was thinking under the heater controls, but not sure if they'll fit. The A-Pillar is out of the question because of my tach.

Can you people show me some of your setup's or give me some ideas??

Thanks a lot.

Here's an old photo of mine. It's an old photo because I've corrected the tach. Haven't taken one recently.

I removed the ashtray and mounted an oil pressure gauge on that flat surface immediately ahead of the shifter.

Works well, very visible. Saved my engine once.

I got the pod from this place in California (their website is down). But you can buy it anywhere they sell Autometer gauge pods, I only got it from them because Summit Racing didnt have any in stock at the moment. Its for a 90-96 300zx, and you WILL have to get a heat gun so it molds around the pilar, otherwise it wont looks as nice.

Good luck

Hmm, you didn't say to post only A-pillar gauges, so here you go:

Dude sorry about that. I forgot to lower the resolution of my pic so the modem community can see the pic faster.

Nice set up! I was going to do a three gauge setup as well, but I got lazy. It was a bit time consuming aligning it, so I just opted for the two gauge.

Unfortunately I do need a radio because this is my date car. They don't seem to mind that there's a tach on the pillar. It becomes a conversational piece which leads to breaking the ice. ;)

For those that mount their guages either where the radio is or underneath the cubby hole what kind of material did you use to construct your gauge holder.

Good question! Is it possible to fit 3 "2 1/16" guages in that space??

keep 'em coming!!:D

yes it is. and you get the piece from your nissan dealership. just ask for the face plate for sentras or se-rs without a radio. theyll ask if your car is us or japanese made. find out. then pop the trim piece off and screw the face plate on to that. its really simple, and only costs about 10 bucks. to mount the gauges just get a good drill with the right size and drill away.

"Breaking the ice" LMAO. That is some funny shit. :D I'm sure the women also don't mind talking about the cai, cams, exhaust, 5point harnesses, etc....

What's next? "Hey baby you think this ride's hot, my other car is an SE-R... with a little somethin somethin under the hood." ;)

Thought I would add to this. Here you go work with this. I have my Oil Press. Gauge as well as Water Temp. Both very good gauges to have since thats what n/a cars need I think.

NyceP26, I see that your radio is in the cubby hole, are you using screws to hold the radio in there or did you pop in the and let the heater controls and cup holder hold in place.

LMAO! too funny. It just gets their interest about what all those gauges do for the car. Maybe I'll install a web cam share my dating experience with everyone. LMAO

NyceP26 nicely done. I'm definitely will have to go with three gauges! I like the look better.

Edit: I used an aluminum that is coated with black paint. NyceP26 I do agree that those two gauges you mention is a must have.
