I'm doing a DET swap at the end of May so I'm preparing my NX. I wan't to replace the clutch disc while the tranny's out, and need some suggestions. Note that my current stock clutch setup is 10 months old, so everything is new, that's why I only want the disc, and of course because of streetability. I'm not going crazy with power, so no solid center disk suggestions needed!

I will also be replacing the motor mounts and am torn between JWT and the ES mounts. What's better?? (again, I'm not going crazy with power)

Thanks in advance

Well, just don't get the Place Racing Mounts. I drove Kieran's car with them, and it was just nuts. He's broken two radiators already. It's like driving a motel bed with "magic fingers".

I have the Energy Suspension torque mounts for my car, and I'm going to leave the others stock, or use new OEM mounts. I think that's a good compromise. I haven't installed them yet, but I drove another NX2000 on the weekend that had that setup, and it's good.

There is more vibration with that, but it's liveable.

It also reduced his 0-60 by .1 second (to 7 seconds flat).

I run a DET @ stock boost.

For the clutch, I use a stock disk w/ a JWT PP. Go for that. Or the ACT HD. I've driven cars with both. The JWT has a lot lighter pedal, it's almost pansy-ish. The ACT pedal is heavier than stock. Both are streetable and they will easily hold the power of the DET. If you can, try to get a lightweight flywheel in there, it makes a nice difference. Plus rev-matching becomes a cinch!

As for motor mounts, I used to run all 4 ES mounts. But, I recently put in a new passenger side motor mount and things are much smoother now. The car rides beautifully, very taut and smooth, but some vibrations are transmitted to the cabin, but no big deal at all. I would recommend going with the ES mount in the front (dogbone) and the back (crossmember). $35 for both, awesome deal.

Good luck on the swap!

Courtesy Nissan...that's where I got them. As far as I know the price hasn't changed, but I could be wrong.

Thanks. As for the clutch, I prefer to upgrade the disc and keep the stock pressure plate. Any ideas on discs??
