This is for questions or problems with the iTrader URL rule that is now in effect.

what do we do if everything was handled over PM's? Sometimes i will see in a thread that somebody has something i need, so i PM them, they PM me back... then the deal goes down over paypal. Are we to start a thread just to document the transaction?

i just bought an alternator off of miko. needless to say, there was no thread, i just called him up. he requested i post in his thread of praises, but i also gave him an i-trader rating. what should i have done?

In both cases, just find an existing thread in the feedback area or if there isn't one start a new one. I am looking into ways to link a thread with iTrader for just this reason.

i've sold & bought a few things on here and G20.net and not recieved feedback. I've also recieved some and given some after sales on both sites. On eBay as well...

I think that this a good idea, because it makes sure that the sale is public and ensures that the rating system doesn't get abused... (if it is now, I'm not sure.)

I also think that it's bad for people that sell stuff w/o a thread... and people that don't feel like taking the time to find the thread of the sale.

In my personal opinion I don't think it should be in effect until there is an option to link the rating to the thread w/o having to search for it... (like which was stated above). I think no matter is done (if abusing the rating system was the concern) some people will abuse it regardless, and the people who do not use it will continue to not use it.

I use it, and probably don't think this will phase me much because I'm anal and I usually add the thread of sale in there anyway.

Preach.

the rating system doesn't get abused... (if it is now, I'm not sure.) I actually deleted some bogus feedback today. Since neutral ratings don't factor into your %, people don't really notice. They said things like "you suck" and the like. This policy will help prevent that.

But, why bother having iTrader and an area for threads when in both cases nothing can be attributed directly. iTrader is the "official" feedback for the forum since it's attributable to business here. If it's off the forum it has no place to factor into forum feedback anyway. That is what the threads are for. Searching around before sending someone money and leaving someone feedback are the same in that you need to take it upon yourself to do it. To me, this falls under the category of personal responsibility which is sorely lacking in people these days.

I just tried to leave feedback for a forum member in a deal we did through PM's, so I went and found his feedback thread in buyer/seller experiences, copied the thread link, pasted it into the URL spot, and it came back as invalid. Then I saw that the example says: http://www.site.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1234, whereas my browser shows it as http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread.php?t=1234, so I switched out the differences, and it still didn't let me submit the feedback. What am I doing wrong?

No, what you need to do is post the URL to the thread in the classifieds section. If you did it via PM, you will need to post feedback in the feedback area as opposed to via the iTrader system.

so what's up man? if i use PM's to get my merchandise i should use the individual seller's thread (assuming they have one), but if they don't have a thread i should use the iTrader rating? i'm sorry, but this seems to be way too complicated for what it's trying to accomplish. that's just my .02

no, if there was no "For Sale" thread to link to the feedback, and no Feedback thread for that forum member, then start a new thread about that member.

at least thats how i understand it.

If there is a thread for the sale, use it with iTrader to post feedback.

If there is no thread for the sale, post feedback in the buyer/seller forum area.

Or, you can do nothing at all. It's a very simple concept.

why do i have 15 positive feedbacks, and my score is only 14?

why do i have 15 positive feedbacks, and my score is only 14?Because XxToKeSxX left you feedback twice, and people only count once even if they leave you multiple feedbacks.

I just noticed this today. It is a waste if you ask me. I dont understand why not just go back to the old way. SR20boston you know best though. I got real pissed today and then I seen this tread!

So if I buy something from you directly, and it has nothing to do with the forum, we should be able to leave feedback for each other with iTrader? No way. Post a message in the feedback area for stuff without a thread.

Why not I mean why would it matter if just for an instance I sent Stratton a big screen TV I sold him and it was exactly like I described it why not get feedback on the forum because it is the place I met him. Or say I just out of the blue sent chriscar a front lip off of an NX?? I mean I almost actually done that so why not get feedback for stuff like that?? I see your point and I am just wondering if you seen mine!

I agree... I re-read what I wrote previously, I'm having trouble reading my own writing, I think I was being confusing

I don't think that iTrader should be for business for other forums or anywhere for that matter besides here, I meant that it would be tight if the for sale threads had a link within them that aloud you to give feedback through the thread...

but even after reading that I kind of disagree w/ my first post... lol I think I was being lazy, I must have just gotten up... ;)

I don't mind iTrader, I don't mind it at all...
