Ok, i know the owners manual calls for about a .32 to .33 gappage on the regular bkr6e ngk copper plugs.....i tried that, and my car didnt run right. I gapped them to .43 like my previous plugs were, and it runs much better. Is it ok to gap them at what i did?? is there a reason that the .32 works for others but not my car?? this is a bonafide sr20de im referring to. If you can offer any help, i would appreciate it. Thanks in advance....

The factory NGK Non Platinum plugs should be pregapped @ .032" . BKR5E, BKR6E, and BKR7E should all be gapped at .032" .

Help me out here, I got a 94 G20. The owners manual recommands the platinum plugs, but the plugs are like 12 each, so I am going to get the copper version of that plug. Is there a need to regap it?

why not check the gap? it only takes a few seconds. also, the NGK website suggests doing it.

i start at the widest recommended gap. if the car doesn't respond like it should i close it by .001 then go for a test drive. i keep doing that (within the recommended range) till i get the best results. since plugs should be removed/installed on a cool engine sometimes this can take a while :-(
