: Brake Rotors

I called Brakeco.com about some rotors (Madmatt said they could be had for $28), but they said that the 26mm (x section) rotor was for models with ABS, which I thought was the other way around, and they were $57. I am pretty sure the 26mm rotor is the right one, but I just wanted to make sure. Anybody else know a place to get them cheap? I can get them at Autozone for $69, but I was hoping to same quite abit.

The 26mm rotor is the one for the AD22VF brakes, no matter if it's ABS or not. Ask for the cheaper made-in-China rotors. I got a pair from them shipped across the country (CA to NC) for ~$75 total.

Thats what I thought, but every dealer you talk to has a different spin on it, and nothing you say can change their minds. I just ordered Brembo solid disks from expressautoparts.com for $98 shipped. Thats not as cheap as yours, but still cheaper than $140 for Autozone's questionable quality parts.

That is a screaming deal on Brembo rotors and I would certainly get those for that price over the cheap Chinese ones. I was quoted $70 a piece at my local shop. I just removed one cheapie tonight that was cracked from the event this weekend. Although I can hardly complain since this was track event #11 on $28 rotors. I think I got my moneys worth

Phone number???

There are only a few companies that do cataloging of car parts and somewhere along the line, everyone got it wrong. IIRC, even Nissan has it wrong in some of their references, but it's been a while since I've looked at it.

I've only once seen a brake parts catalog that got it right. I work in the aftermarket replacement parts business and look at these things on a regular basis (mostly out of curiosity).

I know. I always ask for the dimensions. "Yes I want the one that's 26mmX257mm. No I don't care if it says ABS only, that's the one. Here's my credit card number...."

Brakeco.com has never gotten it wrong for me yet.

Every online store should give as much info on parts as possible, especially dimensions. expressautoparts.com was the only one that I could find to tell me exactly which rotor I was looking at. I thought it was a good deal, too. Free shipping. This is not an ad, honest. The performance section there is pitiful, though (mostly honda parts).

I may order my Axxis pads from Brakeco, as they seem reasonable (depends on shipping cost).

Much as I hate to plug my employer here, we do a lot of business with the SE-R crowd. Whenever the guys who handle the Internet sales are unsure, they come see me when it comes to Nissans.

I'm not trying to push this. Just throwing out another option.

It is ok to do that here...options are always good.especially when it comes to someone knowing what they are doing...and knowing the parts too.:D
