im not sure how thick they are but they did help with my car starting up faster, as soon as i turned the key my car was on

They are actaully more like 150-160 if you shop around. If you are running high boost, they would be a good idea so your spark doesnt blow out.

I will be getting a set to be safe, but thats just my opinion.
