This is RE: this thread http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15798

Ok, I took the car in to Nissan for a diagnostic. They reset all the base settings for the car, and it idles perfectly when warm.

But it still stalls when cold.

The guy was telling me that the thing wrong with it was something to do with the idle computer (he didnt know what it was).

He said that there is a electric motor that keeps the idle going, and it had seized. He believes that this is due to age.

Now, normally I would have had them just replace this part, but this part itself costs $550 (in $AUS). He said I could try removing the carbon deposits around this part. This made me think TB.

Now, can anyone decipher what may be wrong/what is wrong? I kinda hope I dont have to fork out the dosh for this part.

Thanks
Matt
