ive got 1 91 nx 2k with i/h/e/ and the timing advanced,,im still using the stock exhaust piping thats 2 inches. would changing it to 2.25 or2.5 and a high flow cat be a good choice for a lil more power or what? what kind of catback system works best?and can i just get one for a sentra se-r and it will fit?

91-94 sentra catback will work. VRSexhaust.com makes a tubing kit for pretty cheap. They also sell highflow cats. The kit comes with everything you need, just has to welded. You could get a muffler shop to do it for cheap if you need to. When all is said and done you should pay more than 300 bucks. I wouldn't go bigger than 2.25 on an N/A engine.
Nice balck on black NX by the way. Is that a SSAC header?

The Sentra exhaust and the nx exhaust are different. VRS sells an NX specific exhaust. If you plan on getting cams then go 2.5"

I'd agree that the exhaust diameter shouldn't be more than 2.25" on a n/a car. What I did is buy sectioned pieces of mandrel bent 2.25" pieces of exhaust(get under the car first and find out what degree's you need) and build your own catback exhaust from scratch. Use a nice N1 or GT muffler from like Megan racing, lot's of brands out there and just skip the exhaust going over the rear axle. That way, the muffler can be tilted up and to the side, kinda like the Blitz exhaust on the 240sx's. It's the best look I found and it gives good power. Just make sure to add a small resonator right after the cat so it gives a deeper tone, with out it, it sounds like fart cans. I spent $25 on each mandrel bent pc(I used 4 pcs.), $80 on the muffler and about $120 for the muffler shop to build it. $300 total, not bad

The VRS is a very nice kit. My boyfriend uses their tubing kits all the time at the shop he works at.

yeah...not sure how many people are with the angle look but I don't think it fits the looks nicely on an NX.
Anyway

We use their pipes all the time and I never had a problem with fitment. And they are nice quality pieces.

What makes the Sentra and the NX exhaust different? Isn't it pretty much the muffler tip? The mountings are the same aren't they? Same with layout/length? I've heard they are different but I want to know why. Thanks.

The rear overhang on the NX is shorter so the muffler pipe sections are different after the midpipe.

Is the midpipe the part after the cat/resonator?

[They don't offer a picture of any of their kits on their site]. I'm assuming that they eliminate the resonator like the O.E. pipe has?
