I have a 98 Sentra SE which G20 ecu would i benifit from?
would it have to be a 98-99 ecu or could I run a 95-00 ecu?

Does it do anything else besides raise rev limit to 7500 and
remove speed governer?

Is it just plug and play and your done or do i have to rewire stuff
and get codes etc..

PS i beg to differ that the 98 SR20s are the slowest ive spanked
and put down just as much if not more power on the dyno with less mods then other 95-97s my mods are very basic still.

Thanks

You'll want a '94-'96 G20 ECU. The '99-'02 G20's had a lower redline (7000rpm, IIRC). The increased redline and no speed governer is about the only benefit from this mod. It will plug and play, but you will get a MIL since you have a '98.

Gotcha will the MIL just be for like bull$hit emmsions stuff .. As long
as there just bs MIL's i could care less. Im assuming it would be like
running the 95-97 200SX JWT Ecu where its plug n play you just get
an MIL but the car loses 0 performance and thats fine in my book.

LSD made a huge diff at the drag strip and around turns too. The car
just pulls through turns so good now without spinning one wheel.
and on the drag strip i have hit as low as 2.19 60fts on Kumho Ecsta 712
street tires ( 205/50 ) on stockies..

Hey whats up Daryl, it's Jordan.

I had a 94 G20 ECU automatic in my 98 SE for about 2 months. It was excellent. For $60-$100 you can have a 7500rpms and no speed limiter.

If you can, try to get a manual one, but it is not totally neccessary. The auto ECU caused some minor issues with my idle - and of course since we have 98's we both will get MIL's - easily remedied with a piece of black tape or if you feel so inclined you may remove the bulb.

Hardly any B14 owners new of this cheap mod before this winter. Andreas Miko hinted at it, I tried it, loved it, and made a ton of posts recommending this be done.

Cool looks like ill be doing this mod soon so atleast i can rev to
7300 or so my car is still pulling at rev limit 7100 i just need like
200 or more rpms with the 91 cams and ill be set. + i hear the 98
fuel maps suck.. Ray was saying something you should unplug by the
gas tank and under the hood when running a 95-97 JWT Ecu that
only 98 and 99s have I wonder if this applies to our cars while using
the G20 ecu.. RAY u there? Andreas any ideas?

Thanks,

Yeah, Ray told me to do that, but I never got around to it. I don't think it did much. BTW, Ray rarely comes on here.
