thats awesome!!! but i just bought my new ride and don't have it set-up to my standards yet. anyone been before? would it be worth the ride from jacksonville??

also how is the turn-out usually? would it be a good thing for a first timer's first organized event? me and my buddies used to set up cones in my buddies parking lot, but never run a road course before. looks FUN

it's definitely worth the drive.... for max runs, run in the afternoon... but it's hotter than hell. If you run in the morning, you'll still get like 15-20 runs. Maybe more... It thins out after 11am as everyone gets tired. Not bad for $30! And the nice thing about getting that many laps in is that you get to try out different lines, braking points, trail braking, etc. In the morning, usually doesn't actually get running until about 8:30. But show up at 8am to get through tech. And make sure to bring your helmet.

No helmet and no more money:(. New suspension, new tires... car's ready to go, but my head's not.

$30, great price and only 2 hours from Tampa. Hmmm, what kind of helmet and what kind of funds am I looking to spend?

pretty much any helmet will do... If coming from tampa, might as well get your money's worth and do a whole day, $50. Plus ~2 tanks of gas... It'll be about 2.5 hours as the track is about 30 min. from I-75.

You have to do timing yourself, so a good ole stopwatch. But you'll get the same amount of seat time in this as 5+ autox's. If you're looking to just have fun and see how the car reacts to different things... it's a great event.
