Whenever I turn the AC on in my car, the engine sounds like its going to stall. Sometimes when I stop at a light, the car vibrates a little and the engine stalls. Does anyone know what the problem may be?

i know in my car the idle dips a little when the compressor kicks on. is your idle fine when the a/c is off? when you advanced your timing, did you compare the REAL rpms to the tach? i know some cheap timing lights don't have that feature, but the one i used did, and my tach is off a little.

also, how many miles do you have? is it time for you to do a tune-up? i know that has a huge bearing on how well the sr20 runs.
